After the demise of the original fortress in the village, around 1836 the idea of establishing a new fortress arose. On the heights of the smooth plain called "Lubenský vrch" the place where the noble building of the castle now stands was spotted.
The foundation stone for the building was laid on June 13, 1841, in the presence of the entire precious count family by His Excellency the noble reigning Count František de Paulo Arnošt of Harrach and Her Excellency Anna, Countess of Lobkovice.
In 2001, when 160 years have passed since the foundation stone was laid, the castle returned to its original color, "Harrach red". We will be happy to welcome you to Hrádek Castle!!!
