The village of Jenišovice is located 15 km from Vysoké Mýt, it used to belong to the district, now since 1960 it belongs to the Chrudim district. The municipality of Jenišovice is divided into the following 5 local parts: Jenišovice, Martinice, Zalažany, Štěnec, Mravín. The first mention dates back to 1088. The village was called Janišovice and belonged to the Wrocław County. In the 15th and 16th centuries belonged to Košumberk and in the century 18. to Chroustovice. In 1349 there was a rectory here, which in the 19th century disappeared. The village is located in nad. height of 237 m. In the 13th century watermills were built in Chrudim, which were modernized over time, even here in our village. Today there is a small hydroelectric power station in the former mill. In earlier years, musical instruments were made and repaired here. The center of Jenišovice is highlighted by the dominant "Holy Trinity" church listed in the state list of cultural monuments. The first mention of the church dates back to 1350, and in recent years it has undergone a major renovation. In the village there are several modified villages, repaired and built houses. houses, post office, sports and cultural complex. The river "Novohrodka" flows through here. An active component in the village are volunteer firefighters, women of TJ Sokol o Myslivecké sdružení. The modernly equipped AGRO a.s. animal center is located here. Jenišovice.
