The village of Řestoky is located in the district of Chrudim, about 8 km east of Chrudim. Currently there live 491 inhabitants. The first mention of the village Řestoky dates back to 1115. The name of the village was written in old documents also Žestoky, Ržestoky, Zestoky, and probably got its name from one version of the water, according to another from the Old Slavic name "žestoci", which meant "wild ", " rough ". Great emphasis is placed on the enjoyment and education of the preschool generation. At a high level, there is cooperation with the teaching staff of the Pavouček Poutníček Municipal Kindergarten. Thanks to the MTB Schlapey association, it is also possible to lay the foundations for the tradition of children's cycling races and trips.
