Mesto Prelouc

Ceskoslovenske armady 1665, Prelouc 535 01
The town of Přelouč belongs to the oldest historically documented places in the region. The first mention dates back to 1086, when King Vratislav I donated Přelouč to the Benedictine monastery in Opatovice. It was closely connected with the monastery until the Hussite Wars.

Thanks to its connection to the railway trade artery, Přelouč soon became the second most economically important city in the Pardubice region after Pardubice. From 1850 to 1960, Přelouč had the status of a district town.

Among the landmarks of the city are the Neo-Renaissance buildings of the Elementary School and the Inn on Masaryk square.

Přelouč has the following local parts: Klenovka, Lhota, Lohenice, Mělice, Škudly, Štěpánov and Tupesy.
