The town of Jaroměřice Nad Rokytnou lies at the foot of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands about 13 km from Třebíč. The town is rich in its cultural heritage and the State Chateau Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou is one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic. Another important sight in the city is the Museum of Otokar Březina. Jaroměřice experienced the greatest fame for Count Jan Adam Questenberk, who contributed to the reconstruction of the chateau to its present form and to the whole transformation of the town.
