The village of Červená Lhota is located in the district of Třebič in the Vysočina region.

It lies in the valley of Leštinský brook 9, 3 km northwest of the town of Třebíč and 9.5 km southeast of the town of Brtnice.

Červená Lhota was founded by the Třebíč monastery as early as the 12th century or the beginning of the 13th century. The first written mention of the village comes from 1436. It currently has 184 inhabitants.

There is also a library in the village and there are several interest groups. These include the Volunteer Fire Brigade, the Hunting Association, the Czech Gardeners' Association and the Beekeepers.

The most important monument in Červená Lhota is the parish church of St. Lawrence. The core of the building was built in the first third of the 13th century in the Romanesque style. Subsequently, it was probably extended by Gothic and Renaissance additions.
