The village of Domamil is located on the border of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, in the Vysočina region, Třebíč district, 10 km west of Moravské Budějovice, on road II/151, the Rokytka stream runs through the village. The slightly undulating surroundings are dominated by forests, meadows and fields used for agricultural purposes.

The first historical report on the village of Domamil, which was part of the property of the Loucký monastery, dates from the end of the 12th century, from 1190. In the basic charter of the Loucký monastery near Znojmo, drawn up on October 25, 1190 in Prague by Ota Konrád and his mother Maria, among others it mentions the settlement of Domamil.
The Domamil parish was founded among the oldest in Moravia. It was established even before the Premonstratensian monastery in Louka near Znojmo was founded.
