The village of Vedrovice is located in the district of Znojmo and lies about 6 km southeast of the town of Moravský Krumlov. The village has two cadastral territories, Vedrovice and Zábrdovice u Vedrovice. Currently, 859 inhabitants live here. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1369. The village is also undergoing more than thirty years of archaeological research, the highlight of which was the discovery of a "Venus" sculpture belonging to the so-called shooting type.
There are important landscape features around Vedrovice, among which are e.g. Stará hora - exposed igneous rock and Čertova díra - a band of rocks where you can find endangered species of flora of the Czech Republic and other points of interest.
