The wine-growing village of Uherčice lies in the northern part of the Dyjsko-svratecké úval, mainly on the left bank of the Svratka river, 8 km northwest of the town of Hustopeče at an altitude of 180 m.
The first documented written report about Uherčice is from 1220.
The historic core is a village square with a dominant neo-Gothic church of St. John the Baptist, consecrated in 1896. Opposite the church is the oldest building in the village, the late Renaissance town hall
-general house.
In the village under TJ Sokol there is a football club and since 1962 also a riding club. The equestrian section organizes training courses focusing on English and western riding.
A riding school and horseback riding are open all year round.
