The wine village Vrbice is located in the South Moravian Region in the district of Břeclav. It is situated at an altitude of 290 m above sea level and is the second highest village in this district. It covers an area of 938 hectares. There are no important wine localities Na sklepech and Stráž in the village. The first written mention of the village dates from 1222. At present, Vrbice has 1095 permanent residents. In 2014, the village won the regional round of the Village of the Year competition.
