The village of Bělkovice-Lašťany was established by merging
two originally independent municipalities of Bělkovice
and Lašťany in 1960, while the first written mention of Bělkovice comes from 1238, Lašťany is first mentioned in a document from 1078.
The village of Bělkovice-Lašťany is located in
the foothills of the Low Jeseníky Mountains, more precisely
on the interface of the Uničov platform
Upper Moravian gorge and Domašovská
Highlands of the Low Jeseník.
The village is located near an important road, created in the Theresian period
like the postal road that connected
Olomouc and Šternberk and which according to its
