The village of Drahanovice and its four local parts called Ludéřov, Střížov, Kníničky and Lhota pod Kosířem are located 15 km from Olomouc. The cadastre with an area of 1353 ha has 1690 inhabitants. The village can be reached by train and bus. it turns into a hilly forested picturesque region of the Velký Kosíř Nature Park and on the west side it is bordered by the Terezské údolí Nature Park.
If we look at the history, we will find the dates of the first written mentions of the villages in the 14th century and archaeological sources dating back to the early Stone Age. It is originally a defensive tower, rebuilt in the years 1567-1590 by Jan Drahanovský of Stvolová into a residential tower. From this time, a sandstone arch with a relief emblem of the lords of Stvolová has been preserved on the second floor of the tower. there is a permanent exhibition that relates to the archeology and history of the village and its surroundings.
There is a gallery on the top floor. The outdoor area is used for various cultural events, and wedding ceremonies are also held here.
A protected cultural monument is also the Church of St. James the Greater with a bell tower built into the enclosure wall. The primary school in the settlement is decorated with sandstone reliefs from 1925, with figures by J.A. Komenský and T.G.Masaryk.
There are two ancient lime trees in the village, the age of which is estimated at almost three hundred years. Near the solitude called Lusthaus stands a very old memorable pear. In the upper part of Ludéřov, a baroque granary with an atypical L-shaped floor plan Příhon, which rises at the end of Ludéřov, stands a monument to Svatopluk Čech and near it there is a stone menhir with Celtic symbols.
