Municipal office Oborná.
Very little is known about the history of the village of Oborná. It is first mentioned in 1405, when the Krnov princes Jan II. and Mikuláš Přemyslovci divided Bruntál and the surrounding settlements. The name of the village, in the given document Spillenberg, later Spillendorf, originally meant a watchtower, a guard post, the establishment of the village is perhaps closely related to the town of Bruntál, which stood south of the village from the beginning of the 13th century, when it was supposed to be a place guarding the town from the north.
There are several crafts in the village - a car repair shop, a car body shop, a car paint shop, artistic blacksmithing, carpentry, masonry, a ceramic workshop, and there is also a general store that provides basic food and local hospitality.
The village has been independent since 1992 and was created by separation from the town of Bruntál on the basis of a referendum.
The dominant feature of the village is the Church of the Holy Trinity and the building of the former school, which was renovated into a kindergarten, and the municipal office is located in its part.
A long-standing tradition in the village is the construction of a "communal maypole" and the organization of a children's day in the "Skalka" nature area.
