The town of Hodonín is located in the South Moravian Region, on the Moravia River, 60 km southeast of Brno, near the border of Moravia and Slovakia.
The city covers an area of 6,331 hectares and has a population of approximately 24,000. Hodonín can also boast that the 1st Czechoslovak President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk was born here.
